Pokémon: anime series

The Pokémon series is a multimedia franchise created by Satoshi Tajiri and Ken Sugimori, and developed by Game Freak and Nintendo. It began as a video game for the Game Boy in 1996 and has since expanded its universe to an anime series, movies, collectible card games, toys, and more.

The core of Pokémon focuses on trainers who capture creatures known as Pokémon and train them to battle each other in competitions. The main objective is usually to become the champion of the Pokémon League by defeating the best trainers in the region and the High Command.

The video game series, on the other hand, has continually evolved with new generations of Pokémon, improved gameplay mechanics, and more expansive worlds. Each game usually features a new region with its own native Pokémon and gym leaders.
