Demote
World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade (from English - “World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade”) is the first addition to the computer game World of Warcraft, released on January 16, 2007 in Europe and the United States. The expansion introduces a new world - Outland, 2 new playable races: draenei and blood elves, a new profession - jewelry making, 16 dungeons for 5 people and 8 raid dungeons, a PvP arena system and much more.
Plot
The title of the expansion refers to the return of the Burning Legion; a huge army of demons, which is one of the main forces threatening Azeroth in the Warcraft universe, the last invasion of which was suppressed in Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos. This expansion includes the devastated orc world of Outland, ruled by Illidan Stormrage.
Lord of Fates Kazzak has once again opened the Dark Portal to Outland, flooding Azeroth with the evil demons of the Burning Legion. Expeditions from the Horde and Alliance, reinforced by their new allies the blood elves and draenei, passed through the gates to stop the invasion. On the desiccated Hellfire Peninsula of Outland, the Alliance discovered several of their heroes who had passed through the portal many years ago, while the Horde came into contact with the Mag'har, uncorrupted orcs who had not participated in their race's original invasion of Azeroth. The expedition to Outland brought the Horde and Alliance armies further into conflict with Legion agents and Illidan's lieutenants, who claimed the ruined world as their own.
Black Temple
Seeking to rule all of Outland, Illidan created an impregnable fortress in the Black Temple, the former sanctuary of the draenei. However, his influence began to wane after the defeat of his most trusted lieutenants, including the naga ruler Lady Vashj and the treacherous blood elf prince Kael'thas Sunstrider. This window of opportunity allowed Akama, leader of the Outland draenei known as the Broken, to rebel against the self-proclaimed "Lord of Outland." Along with Illidan's former jailer, the possessed night elf Maiev Shadowsong, Akama helped a group of Horde and Alliance heroes infiltrate Illidan's chambers and put an end to the Traitor's reign once and for all.
Gods of Zul'Aman
After years of fighting against the high elves on the side of the Horde, the troll warlord Zul'jin fled to the city of Zul'Aman, the capital of the Amani trolls, where he summoned mysterious dark forces and rebuilt his army. While Azeroth's eyes were focused on the fight against the Burning Legion and the expedition into Outland, treasure seekers invaded Zul'Aman, reigniting Zul'jin's hatred of the outside world, especially the high elves of Quel'Thalas. Upon learning that the newly christened "blood elves" had become part of the Horde, an enraged Zul'jin declared war on both the Horde and the Alliance. To gain the upper hand, Zul'jin tries to awaken the ancient spirits to harness their power. However, the Horde and Alliance, with the support of the blood elves, besiege the capital of the Amani trolls, after which they brutally deal with the insane Zul'jin.
Fury of the Sunwell
After his defeat in Outland, Kael'thas Sunstrider returned to Silvermoon, the capital of Quel'Thalas. Instead of leading his people to glory as he promised, the fallen prince betrayed them. Kael'thas planned to use the Sunwell, the source of magical power of the blood elves, to summon the demon lord Kil'jaeden to Azeroth. With the help of the heroes of the Horde and Alliance, the army of the Shattered Sun, the blue dragon Kalecgos and the mortal form of the Sunwell - Anvina; managed to stop Kael'thas and Kil'jaeden. In order to restore the Sunwell and return the source of magic to the elves, the draenei prophet Velen used the magic of the naaru M'uru.
New available races
Both the Alliance and Horde received one new race. These races provided the Alliance and Horde with access to characters belonging to previously unavailable classes, and thus each faction gained access to all available classes in the game.
