Dear Iccup-Admins,

as the new DotA map changed, i asked myself why iccup doesn't include newer items like aether lens, hurricane pike, faerie fire, echo sabre and some others. they improve the skill requirement and give much

more variability in the game. I think it would be an cool addition for all, once you get used to. the 385 map should include these items so we can all evolve :)

regards

And why not also include Monkey King, talents, all remaining aghanims and extend max level to 30

Well that doesn't belong to DotA 1. Just add some aghanims, a few new items and keep it at lvl 25. The items make the new version much more smooth in terms of gameplay, add several options in itembuilds and make the game generally more interesting. I see you don't like the Idea, thats why you start making fun of it with the DotA 2 comparison. Warcraft III reforged uses the items too, and it looks perfectly well like DotA 1.

all the best

Well that doesn't belong to DotA 1.

Oh, rly?

The proscene form d1 shifted to d2 with all new brand items, heroes, some new mechanics and ofc testgroups. While some made changes were bit awkward bit wrong, the whole concept and development was still present and suited in further patches.

It's not d1 problem of losing *the leader* but IMO it's up to everyone left there not progressing in dota at all. *After all this time? Always.* (c)

Yeah I've read about this too. But I still think Iccup should progress more, and include the newer items. Adding heros might be too much (even if Monkeyking was in the gamelogs back then), same as the talenttrees. But evolving the game, adding items changes the meta in this game. Alot heros, that aren't meta right now would benefit from those

Ofc this will be implemented, but atm the platform is divided into 2 categories - 83 and 85 map players. Kinda big part of 'em cant suuport higher versions of dota 'coz of weak computers and connection. Not the sole reason but the most significant imo.

Add the low *income* here and a little *outflow* of people and get your answer as it is.

So dev's are just (slowly) working up their latest version, setting it up for further releases. I personally see practically no point in making huge steps in renovation of dota when a half of its users harshly dislike any sorts of improvement.

I guess iccup's managers kinda share my view of the problem, tho still working at it for food for some reason. hz.gif
