Most of the participants in the tournaments there are still Russian and similar language speaking players. Everyone still speaks Russian on the BNet channel and since it is not an English speaking environment, unfortunately the admins are adapting to this as far as i can see. I think there are two main reasons for this:
1. English speaking players do not use tournaments very actively.
2. Russian and similar language speaking players use both RU side tournaments and EU side tournaments. And since they are in the majority, English speaking players, who are already a minority, disappear in the middle.
This also has the disadvantage that the same players win more cups by participating in both tournaments (both EU and RU tournaments).
We have a solution to this problem. There are already RU tournaments for players from countries that speak Russian and similar languages. By participating in RU department tournaments, these players can already receive services in their own language.
From now on, we will prevent players with Uzbek, Kyrgyz, Kazakh and Russian flags (from CIS countries) from participating in EU tournaments. So, they should not be able to register for EU tournaments from the website. In this way, we can serve real English speaking players in EU tournaments.
So if there are no English speaking players and everyone speaks Russian, we already have a RU Tournaments department. Why would there be a need for a second EU Tournaments department? In order to see this transparently and be clear, let's make sure that only English speaking players participate in EU tournaments, take a note of this.
And let's insist on this for a while. Let's see, how many English speaking players there will be in the future? How many people will participate in the tournaments, from western countries (whose native languages are English)?
