One of the most anticipated and hyped games possibly of all time, Starcraft 2, is now finally moving into beta testing. After months and months of repeated delays, ambiguous hints, and long periods of no news whatsoever, we finally have solid confirmation (hopefully, unless its delayed again -.-) from Activision Blizzard CEO: Mike Morhaime that Starcraft 2 is "slated to be in closed beta testing later this month."

Well, so its only a closed beta, however Blizzard has already given away loads of Beta keys to numerous lucky gamers who no doubt have just wet themselves on hearing this news.
So what about the rest of the fans who have not been blessed with a Beta key? Well, you can look forward to a lot more information about Starcraft 2 balancing and gameplay being available to the public, now that gamers and lucky fans have the beta at their fingertips. (and more debate and controversy, yay!)

And of course the beta, as announced by Blizzard CEO will be released internationally, including "thousands of testers in North America, Europe, Korea, Taiwan, Australia, and New Zealand."
If you're sitting there jealous of those who have Beta keys, and angry about being left out in the cold lands of "non-beta testers", don't worry, you're not alone, nor are you out of luck. There are still many chances to nab that elusive Starcraft 2 beta key.
So how can you get your very own Starcraft 2 beta key?
Well, you can either sign up for Blizzard's opt-in beta system: where basically you give Blizzard your system information, and hope Blizzard chooses you out of hundreds of thousands (maybe even more) eager fans, to test the beta. -- More info

You can compete in the monthly Vespene Laughs comic competition and if you are the lucky winner, you will receive — some Blizzard stuff you don't really care about, and of course the stuff you really want: two Starcraft 2 Beta keys. -- More info
