Rules:

---+--- Spoiler ---+---

1* The absolute and most important rule is that LRM)Game holds full discretion over ISL decisions.

2* You must use ICCup Anti-Hack Launcher for every game.

3* All disconnect and leave complaints must be sent in within 48 hours of the game being played.

4* No smurf accounts.  Your account must be played with your known ID in it.  If you are found out to be smurfing, you will be disqualified and no further participation in the tournament will be allowed.  If you are worried about which ID you should use, PM LRM)Game at LRM)Gayme on iccup.com.  If you feel that not smurfing gives you an unfair disadvantage, you must appeal to LRM)Game at LRM)Gayme on iccup.com.  We will then give you a predetermined smurf name.  Failure to comply will lead to disqualification.

5* All names must begin with ISL.  Ex: ISL-Joekim ISL_nOoNe [ISL]Sayle.

6* If you want to make a new name, you must inform us.

7* Stats: You cannot transfer stats.  No points on your account can come from an ICCup tournament.  If this occurs, you will lose those points and have a deduction.  Failure to stop playing in them will have further punishment.

8* In order for previous hackers or abusers to play in ISL, they will need to provide certain things to LRM)Game, iCCup.NoOne, or Joekim which will be handled on a case to case basis if you qualify for the top 56.  All discretion for this is held by the ISL Counter Abuse Team.

9* No hacking or abusing.  This is very very basic.  No multiple or shared accounts.  No letting other players on your accounts.  No taking free wins from friends.  No selling wins.  No playing against your own account.  If suspected of abuse, failure to comply with ISL staff will result in a disqualification from the tournament.

10* Bad Manner will not be tolerated in the shoutbox at the ICCup team page.

11* No Korean IP addresses.12* All ladder replays must be saved for your own safety and submitted at the end of the ladder to LRM)Game at LRM)Gayme on iccup.com

12* All ladder replays must be saved for your own safety and submitted at the end of the ladder to LRM)Game at LRM)Gayme on iccup.com

As this is ICCup's Starleague, be very aware that there can be severe punishment for breaking of the rules depending on the rule.  As for violating the rules, you will be held fully accountable for your actions.  At the very least, breaking the rules will result in disqualification.

56 in brackets = 14 brackets. 2 advance from each bracket = 28. 28 + 4 predetermined = ro32.

I am at a loss of words to describe how happy I am! This is so great - thank you so much to whoever is sponsoring this: I'm proud of you, BW community :) Thank you ICCup, Sayle and the entire crew behind this: you're doing a wonderful job. It makes me feel very happy to see that the BW community just keeps going on in midst of all this SC2 badness. So how did you guys get this together? Will there be many good players? 700$ is quite a bit of money to compete for :)

Well I was inspired to start seeking out sponsors after I saw a lot of "BW Revival" threads. I know as a good player that there are a LOT of good players still playing, even if not on their main names or ICCup. So I seeked out sponsorship for the AoV Invitational, and it was a huge success. The second I saw it's success I organized this within a week and sought after large sponsors and organized it. Now that I have organized it with the generous donations of the sponsors, we as well as the immense help from ICCup staff will enforce rules and run the tournament.

Sounds good, but what does this rule really mean? "The absolute and most important rule is that LRM)Game holds full discretion over ISL decisions."

avatar #22 n-a 07 Feb 2011 @ 02:24 CET
0

Exactly what it says. The ultimate decision for anything ISL related belongs to myself only.

avatar #23 SE Bd.ZeKk 07 Feb 2011 @ 03:04 CET
0

So you can just do as you want then. It sounds a bit scary that you can just end up abusing things to anything you want..just saying.

avatar #24 n-a 07 Feb 2011 @ 03:40 CET
0

Thank you for accusing me of abuse before a tournament starts, appreciate it. What's your ISL name again? (sarcasm for the sensitive fags out there) Anyway, all tournaments in BW ever have had one person making decisions, were you also calling them scary and abusers?

avatar #25 n-a 07 Feb 2011 @ 03:43 CET
0

First of all, I don't really see any reason to do so on his part. Secondly, should he do anything abusive, I think he is very well aware that everybody would turn against him and he would get banned from pretty much everything bw-related except this one tournament. Point being that I don't think that would ever be in his interest. So with no motive and a horrible outcome of such action, I don't think we have to worry about such things. :)

Lastly, there pretty much have to someone who can take a decision in a tournament like this. Hopefully it'll be the right decision, but even if it isn't, it's still better than no decision or endless discussion. After all, it is their tournament, and since they agreed on this system, we don't really have anything to say in this matter. :)

As you see by my name, I'm ready to destroy everyone in this awesome tournament. Thanks to everybody who has made this possible!

ok obviously i used the wrong term, i dont mean u either. I am talking about LRM)Game. He said he is basically god of tournament. He's a good player and will obviously make rd32 but wut if something occurs where he and opponent dont agree? not very fair imo. If he wants to be in charge of this he shouldnt be allowed 2 play in it.

It is rather funny that the same tournament you were very BM in and ragequit after from I played in, and ran quite smoothly. Not only will I be too busy heading the running of this tournament, but credibility really isn't my issue. I feel no need to defend myself from any pre-accusation such as that... that's just retarded. If I wanted money, I would just take the money and run. If I wanted to abuse, it would be suicide, I could never log on BW again due to e-lynching. Think logically before you outright accuse me of something. Not only am I dedicating around 40 hours a week to this tournament, but literally single handedly put this together.

You ron, shhh. Safi, I'll take care if it, He's not head of everything, Game, decisions will go through me as well. I'll make sure this event is 100% fair.

+1 to reppacks, and also I'm not quite sure whether this is the right place to say it, but I really would appreciate some FPVods. I mean obviously, people won't record their FP View during a prestigious tournament like this (or would they? using the recorder program might cause some problems) but it would be great for us lower level people to actually see more FPVods (like the ones Stylish used to make). If we are to keep this community alive, we need newer players to pick up the pace and what better way is there than to show us the real gosu players do stuff. Not only would it be extremely exciting to see some of these matches in first person, it would, in my opinion, be quite educational. So would anybody be willing to record their FPVODs? :)

Very innovative way to revive the BW community! Another good idea may be to preselect sponsors to cast commercials during the livestream finals (not sure if livestream will permit). I think that the public needs to know how supportive the BW community is and how effective we can be. Proving that the BW community can sustain itself will be a huge boost in image for the community and also attract more potential sponsors. Just a few ideas for a community that I have always cared about! GG GL HF!
