The biggest Dota 2 tournament of the year, with a current prize pool of more than $2,700,00, had it's start on August 2nd with Quantic and Rattlesnake playing the wildcard match to decide who get's the last spot for the tournament.
In the end Rattlesnake came ahead and won the match in convincing fashion earning themselves a spot in the TI3.
16 best Dota 2 teams have been divided in two groups. In the preliminaries we have had a total of 129 games. Swedish powerhouse Alliance have practically stomp their way through the groupstage without dropping a single game.
We have had three days with some very nice games, which leads us to one day break and TI3 continues with playoffs on Wednesday, August 3rd.
In the end we have had LGD and Dignitas being tied in the group A.
Following the tournament rules, last upper bracket team was decided in a BO1 match in which LGD won in a convincing fashion.
