Guys in REAL WORLD of DOTA 1, there is now map 6.88 without bugs, add new items from dota 2, fixed some shitly things, add scepters to many others skills or heroes and some upgrades.. :)

Obviously, 6.85 is better, because it's new. There are a lot of new things, for example new items or landscape. In 6.85 we've fixed a lot of bags. 6.83 was made by IF, and 6.85 was made by iCCup team, so it will be supported.

Why you all think that 83 vers. is better than previous ones? Okay, i'll try to take your point. You say, 83 > 85. But why you don't say. for example, that's 81 > 83? Or 72d > 83s ? Just why?

I vote for 85 as a sign of progress. Not the best patch, even with ICCup support, but definetely better than 83.

My view of the general gameplay of some known maps:

6.48b 10/10

6.59d 9.5/10

6.67b 9/10

6.83s 7/10

6.85.269 5/10

So you can see, as the newer maps gain in new tweaks tactics and necessary balances, which I respectfully agree with, they also went down the drain in the general feeling of that "old game" we loved 10y ago and now became "new game". Nothing to cry about, nobody to blame, evolution they call it, what to do...

I personally prefer 6.83. I don't like the visual changes to the newer versions. I think they are useless and ugly. If I want to play a "visually superior game" i would switch to dota2. Balance wise you can't say that there is a version (probably in the history of dota) or a game for that matter that is perfectly balanced. There always will be a hero/race that will be just a little bit stronger than other. In this patch there are many heroes that are considered imbalanced, but they have counters. Every hero has a hard counter. Some heroes have 50, others have >5, yes, but they still have counters. Picks are just as important as skill. I have lost games where we had a much stronger team (skill wise) because the other team had superior picks. I have lost games because we had 5 intelligence heroes against antimage, against a not so skilled player... ;) So if you pick some random stupid heroes and get rekt because of that... its not the patch, its your stupid pick ;)

Also I think if you decide to remove 6.83 you will lose a lot of people. As stated above RGC platform lost a lot of people. I know a romanian platform that did the same stunt and lost a huge portion of their player base (myself included). So keeping several maps of dota is a good idea. Some like 6.83, some like 85, others like something else...
