Kindly please share a guide / tutorial, on how to play the usual Dota map, with my friend only?
I'v tried multiple Maps downloaded from web with no success.
Normal Host, requires 10 players, Even If I closed all the 8 remaining slots.
Create Game, choose map, then my friend follows me: gets us the error, Time out.

Hi! These maps which you are trying to host are ranked, which means that they are following points.
Firstly, let you and your friend add each other with function /f add (nickname)
After that join some room together for example /j romania
Then is neccesary to learn about custom maps.
type /chost list, it should be 3 pages, find what you want and host with command for example "/chost dota83 GO"
Without counting games or ladder, you will be able to start match with only 1,2 players.
