There's literally nothing to get excited. Tried 1.18 PTR and it sucked so badly. Everything is so bad. There's even reddit thread where they compare graphics:imgur.com I knew that Blizz will screw it up like how they been doing for ages. iCCup should remain with current 1.16. We could live 19 years without that ugly patch we can do forth on.

You're right But it depends on the project manager, who in turn decides whether it is worthwhile to deal with this update.

It will be more fun to watch Korean pro games, for sure, with 4K graphics.

But I hope iCCup keeps 1.16. While I have a new PC, I realize not everyone does. The great thing about BW is that you can play on any computer, no matter how old.

BW HD is still 2D, in 2017, I think everyone will be able to run it. Also, at worst case, you can play BW in 1.18 with classic graphics with player playing in HD. It will be crossplay. When 1.18 will be fixed with all its bugs, there will be no reason to stay on the 1.16.

The newest patch from Blizzard actually made Broodwar work won Windows 10. So i dont know why you cry. They even implemented Hack Detection.

So 1.18 is up. Quoting my feedback from Battle.net:

"This patch is so messed up. I can already see so many korean pro's are unhappy, angry and cussing about it on their streams. Mong already showed so many examples about input differences. Now Effort trying muta micro, I don't understand what he's saying but he's smiling which means something is quite wrong. Many pro's can't even join "LADDER" channel which is really bad because many of them need to play on their groups on upcoming matches on ASL and they can't prepare for it. Some of them are playing on iCCup for now which is using 1.16.1. Admit it you screwed up big this time. Bring back 1.16.1 and take away this embarassing PTR! Don't launch 1.18 before all issues won't get fixed."

Also some of you guys are like living in a cave and never visit any forums, like it's my personal only opinion. Go to Battle.net and TL and you will see how many people are flaming new patch.

The casual gamers keep this game alive, not the 10 or 20 progamers that are still playing it.

South Korea is the one who pushed this game as eSports from very start . Korean leagues are which accumulate viewers for BW. In fact remastered is being made majorly for koreans.

Now about casuals: I don't see you played any games any season here, so you shouldn't be the one to judge about it. What you contributed to say that? Keep trolling.

New update: Apparently koreans are sick from buggy 1.18 so they downgraded back to 1.16 so Fish is staying with old patch. Blizz got rejected hard.

i just created this account, i started playing broodwar at 1999 until starcraft 2 came out.

And also played on B level @ Iccup, back in 2009.

So i know what your concerns are. I just see it from Blizzards point of View.

Dont call me trolling, when u are the one calling a patch a complete failure, which actually brought back hundreds of players, who couldnt play broodwar cause of Windows 10.

I also played with the new patch, and i can just say, its the complete same, nothing has changed, Muta micro is stillt the same. U said yourself, u dont understand what Effor was saying, maybe it was just his PC that kinda froze.

You are crying for no reason.

Just because BW started working on your Windows 10 doesn't mean that you can ignore it is broken on my Win7. Just because you didn't felt any difference doesn't give a right to state that everything feels same. Why do you think Fish allowed back 1.16.1 then? It's all your personal opinion so you shouldn't push it without facts.

Go read this thread, it's 2 pages, test it yourself:

www.iccup.com

If I'm lying about Effort check out TT1's post:

www.iccup.com

Also you could play BW on Win10 way before this patch arrived. You only need to put ddraw.dll to your game folder (can be found on TL by searching). Worked on my other Win10 laptop.

Don't think that I got something against SC:R. I'm excited for Remastered like everyone else. I really liked those graphics on preview. My problem is with patch: why fix what's not broken? For many ppl including you it made game work on newer OS but flip side of the coin was really bad for old users. Blizz just rushed with PTR, they needed at least minimum another month of bug testing then release it.
